What is the Deacon's Ministry?

The Deacon's Ministry is the active, functional, organized body of deacons appointed and set aside to serve our church. Deacons are members of the Christian church who serve in various capacities to support the congregation & Pastor. The term “deacon” comes from the Greek word diákonos, meaning "waiter", “servant”, or "minister".

What does the Deacon's Ministry do?

Their primary role is to attend to the physical and logistical needs of the church. Deacons are often involved in tasks such as distributing food, helping the poor, and distributing church resources as needed. They are expected to exhibit qualities such as integrity, respectability, and a strong faith.
