Rev. Gregory Tyler II

Rev. Gregory Tyler II is a Christ-centered pastor, dynamic preacher, gifted teacher, and strategic leader whose ministry brings biblical conviction and practical vision together. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 12, establishing a foundation of faith that would ultimately shape his life’s work. After answering the call to ministry in 2014, he was licensed to preach the Gospel in January 2015 under the leadership of Pastor Gregory Tyler Sr. In November 2019, he began serving as Associate Pastor under the mentorship of Rev. O.D. Tyler and was ordained in December 2019. He faithfully served in that role until June 2020 before being elected Pastor of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in January 2021.

At the heart of Pastor Tyler’s ministry is an unwavering commitment to teach the full counsel of God through Scripture. He believes the Word must be proclaimed with clarity, courage, and compassion—equipping believers not merely to hear truth, but to live it. A hallmark of his preaching is his willingness to tell people the truth they need to hear while pointing them toward the grace, hope, and transforming power of Jesus Christ. His vision is to cultivate a spiritually mature, faith-filled church that trusts God’s Word, serves people well, develops the next generation, and carries the Gospel beyond the walls of the sanctuary.

Pastor Tyler combines pastoral sensitivity with disciplined, results-oriented leadership. Under his guidance, The Mount has strengthened its financial position, welcomed new members, expanded its digital reach, modernized ministry systems, and invested in the technology and infrastructure needed for sustainable growth. His professional background in accounting and finance brings valuable experience in stewardship, administration, and organizational development. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and three accounting certifications from Southern Crescent Technical College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology. This blend of ministry preparation and professional expertise enables him to lead with both spiritual discernment and strategic clarity.

A pastor with a genuine heart for people, Pastor Tyler is especially passionate about young people and deeply concerned for those who are oppressed, marginalized, or less fortunate. Through The Mount and GT2 Ministries, he seeks to connect timeless biblical truth with real-world needs, strengthen families, restore hope, and help people recognize what is possible when faith is joined with disciplined action. He is a multitalented, growth-minded visionary with a demonstrated ability to cast vision, build effective systems, inspire others, and produce meaningful results wherever he serves.

Originally from Riverdale, Georgia, Pastor Tyler has been joyfully married to Lady Tanya Tyler since 2018, and together they are the proud parents of four children. Away from the pulpit, he enjoys the outdoors, traveling, sports, and reading. Approachable and personable, yet resolute in his convictions, Pastor Tyler leads with faith, integrity, excellence, and a sincere desire to see both people and ministries become everything God has called them to be.
