Clear terms for using our services.
The guidelines that support a safe, respectful, and dependable online experience with The Mount.
Effective: October 1, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of mtbethelmcdonough.org, My Mount, and related web forms and services operated by Mt. Bethel Baptist Church (“The Mount,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using these services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.
Scope and eligibility
These Terms apply to this website and connected web services made available by The Mount. You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. A parent or legal guardian is responsible for a minor’s use of the services and should submit information on the minor’s behalf. Additional terms from outside providers may apply when you use an embedded or linked service.
Appropriate use
You may use the services for lawful, personal, church, and ministry purposes consistent with their intended functions. You agree not to:
- Break any applicable law or violate another person’s rights.
- Submit false, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, abusive, obscene, or unlawfully discriminatory content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account, system, record, or restricted area.
- Disrupt the services, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape protected information, or use automated tools in a way that burdens the services.
- Impersonate another person, misuse another person’s information, or collect member information for unauthorized solicitation.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect people, ministry operations, church records, or the security and integrity of the services.
Accounts and security
Some features require a My Mount account. You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your password and other sign-in methods, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized use. Do not share authentication codes or use another person’s account without authorization. We may require identity confirmation or reset access to protect an account.
Prayer, pastoral care, and communications
Prayer and pastoral-care forms help route requests to appropriate church leaders and teams. A submission does not create a professional, medical, legal, or counseling relationship and does not guarantee a response within a particular time. Respect the privacy of others and submit only information you are authorized to share.
The website and its forms are not emergency services and are not monitored continuously. For an immediate medical, safety, or crisis need, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency service.
If you give permission to be contacted or choose communication preferences, The Mount may contact you about your request, account, ministry participation, events, or church operations. Carrier message and data rates may apply to text messages. You can adjust available preferences or contact us, although essential account or security notices may still be sent.
Giving and payments
Online giving and payment links may take you to Tithely, PayPal, or another payment provider. Transactions are processed by that provider under its terms and privacy policy. The Mount does not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account credentials through this website. You are responsible for reviewing transaction details before submitting them and for contacting us promptly about a suspected error. Tax treatment and refund availability depend on applicable law, the nature of the transaction, and relevant church and provider policies.
Church content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website’s design, text, graphics, sermons, recordings, photographs, logos, and other church content are owned by or licensed to The Mount and are protected by applicable law. You may access and share ordinary links to public pages for personal, noncommercial use. You may not reproduce, sell, alter, remove ownership notices from, or commercially exploit protected content without permission from the applicable owner.
Your submissions
You retain any rights you hold in information, photographs, messages, or other content you submit. You give The Mount a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, review, route, and use that content only as reasonably needed to provide the service, fulfill your request, conduct church operations, and honor the sharing choices you make. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
Do not submit confidential, copyrighted, or personal information about another person unless you are authorized to do so. We may remove or limit content that violates these Terms or creates a safety, privacy, or legal concern.
Member directory
Directory participation is optional and controlled through available My Mount settings. Directory information is for appropriate church and member connection only. It may not be copied, published, sold, used for commercial marketing, or used to harass or harm another person.
Third-party services and links
The services may display or link to content provided by companies such as Supabase, Netlify, Cloudflare, Google, YouTube, Castr, Tithely, PayPal, and social-media platforms. We do not control outside services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices. A link or embed does not necessarily mean The Mount endorses every statement, product, or service offered there.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features; correct errors; and update content without guaranteeing uninterrupted or error-free operation. Church schedules, events, livestreams, and announcements can change. Confirm time-sensitive information directly with the church.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the services and their content are provided “as is” and “as available.” The Mount disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing on the website is a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or emergency advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Mount and its leaders, employees, volunteers, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the services. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to any law that must apply. Any legal proceeding relating to these Terms or the services must be brought in a court with jurisdiction serving Henry County, Georgia, unless applicable law requires another forum.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms when our services or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after revised Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we may also provide notice through the website or an appropriate account message.
